Application

The MS 3.0 shrinks sensitive, thin-walled shrink-fit chucks up to dia. 16 mm softly and gently, i.e. with exactly the right energy input to prevent the chuck from overheating.
Very small cutters are often used that have a cutting diameter of only 0.04 mm to 0.01 mm. These cutters are very sensitive and must not come into contact with solid objects such as cooling bells, as this would destroy them.
They usually have shank diameters of 3 mm, 4 mm or a maximum of 6 mm. This showcases another strength of Diebold products. Shrink-fit chucks with a 3 mm hole are not easy to manufacture in a way that ensures that they can be shrunk reliably.
Diebold is known for the exceptionally high quality of its products, with the best-selling items from its extensive overall range being shrink-fit chucks with a diameter of 3 mm.

Execution

  • The MS 3.0 has been specifically developed for slim, thin-walled and extremely short shrink-fit chucks.
  • However, standard chucks up to dia. 16 mm and TER11-TER20 collets can also be shrunk using the MS 3.0.
  • The regulated generator output gently heats the chucks.
  • Even when processing chucks with a very small mass, the system shuts down reliably and safely before overheating.
  • For carbide shanks only. Dia. 3-16 mm for chucks with standard geometry. Dia. 3-16 mm for chucks with slim geometry.
  • max. shrink length: approx. 328 mm.
